THE COTTAGE OF “LA BACHEE”
Located on the famous battlefield of Waterloo, our accommodation is also nearby the monument of the “Lion of Waterloo” created in memory of the victory of the Duke of Wellington against Napoleon in 1815.
The Cottage is part of an old farm built in 1721. The stables and the old barns were converted and renovated into a typical cottage in the spring of 2015 and we are open since June 2015.
In “Belgian-French” our accommodation is called “Gite” and is part of the official network of “Gites” recognized by the Walloon Region and the General Commission for Tourism (CGT). The name of our cottage is coming from the street where the cottage is located called “Rue de la Bachée”.
A block away from the historical village of Plancenoit, you are in the countryside of Belgium, but at the same time, you have closeby a grocery store, a bookstore, a pharmacy, a restaurant, a community center, an equestrian center, doctor’s offices, a health center and a dogs center,…
The Cottage has a capacity of 5 to 7 people, dog allowed.
It is a single storey dwelling that includes:
